How do we talk to ourselves?

How do we talk to ourselves is important on how healthy is our mind. Talking to ourselves can be generally categorised into three types:-

1. Past

a. Talk to ourselves thinking of disturbing past and only the past minus the question “What have I learned?”.
b. Talk about successful past and also thinking of lesson learned on the bad past. Reminding ourselves not to repeat the same mistake.
c. A Talk which analyses the past looking for solutions and not simply stuck with the negative emotions. .

2. Future

a. Talking about the future actions and stay focus on it. Create directions to move on.
b. Talking about future embedded with fear, anger, vengeance and negative actions.
c. Talk and focus on possible failures of any possible actions and justify not to do anything all the time. Get into state of numbness.

3. Present

a. Create a productive task and the talk get merged in the task fully. “Analysing the present action, unconsciously. All the self talks are directed towards only what in hand “Now”.
Everyone has all the above types in us, however, in which one do we dwell the most matters.
